Lately on Instagram #13

So that's it guys, we're back in North Wales! The trip was absolutely amazing and we can't believe how much we've done and seen. We feel so bloody lucky! There was loads to discover and even though we've had almost 10 days in the city, we actually felt like we didn't have enough time to do everything. So I would definitely recommend Rome for people crazy about history (and food!) like us because you won't be bored!

I do have over 2000 photos to go through so please bear with me whilst I organise them and select my favourite ones to show you very soon. I've also filmed quite a bit as well and I secretly hope to get the time to prepare a 2 minute video that sums up our holiday. Wouldn't it be great? For now though, I did a little summary from my Instagram feed for people that didn't manage to follow our adventures :)

We were staying in an apartment that we booked through HouseTrip, and it was great to realise that we were in a cool, industrialised area // The striking stairs that lead you to the exit of the Vatican Museums // Well, the Colosseum, obvs // I was really impressed with the Castel Sant'Angelo! // Morning light through the top of the Pantheon // Beautiful mosaic in the San Sebastiano Gate's museum // The best pizza EVER // Sweet little streets in Centro Storico // And that's yesterday at Bodnant Garden back in North Wales, when we realised that we had to go back to work but we still needed to relax!

Hope you have a great evening and weekend chaps!

Wandering - Portmeirion

Right people, you need to go and visit Portmeirion! We went for Jason's birthday as a treat, and we didn't regret it (the sun helped as well I guess)! This has to be one of my favourite place in North Wales.

Did you know that if you have a two course lunch at Castell Deudraeth, you get a free entry into Portmeirion? It's really worth it as the food there is amazing and definitely affordable. We were actually really surprised as we didn't spend more than £25 per person (drink included) and the venue itself was really impressive.

When you've passed the entrance, you can't help but thinking that you fell into Alice's rabbit hole and arrived into an eccentric, colourful world. And after all, that's why it was made for! The founder wanted to show how an area could be developed whilst adding to its beauty rather than ruining it. And he took inspiration from all over the world, with a strong tendency towards Italian architecture and style. Two words: LOVE IT.

Another thing I loved about this place, is that once you've had a look around the town, you can explore the surrounding woodland with all its little quirky gardens and spaces, and it takes quite a while! We were also really curious about this trend of embedding a coin in the cracks of the wood.

Overall, a great place for a day out if you would like to escape the country without going too far!

I'm going back to my pizzas and jaw-dropping monuments! Nighty night from Rome :)

Giveaway - Free June wallpapers!

Hello from Rome! Hope the weather is nice where you are, here, we're literally in heaven (Yes I know I'm mean)!

Being the 1st of June, I had to make sure to prepare cool new wallpapers for you, and this time, I decide to go abstract. I just started to create random shapes in Illustrator, and loved it so much that I did a set of wallpapers, using the same pastelly colours. What do you think? I think my favourite is the first one :)

You can download for free as usual:

10 Days in Rome!

Happy weekend guys! This is one of the best weekend in my life (I'm not even joking), because we are finally going to Rome for 10 days tomorrow! Yay! I'm so so excited. The less exciting bit though is that we have to be at the airport tomorrow morning for 4am, eeek!

I have planned a couple of posts whilst I'm away (I didn't forget the monthly wallpapers!), but as you might have deduced yourself, I won't be checking my emails regularly and will mostly be on social medias to share everyday moments of my holidays. I would like to say that I'm going to miss North Wales, but I would be lying because I won't miss it and its shitty weather AT ALL!

Make sure to follow me on Twitter and Instagram for updates and sneak peeks of our adventure!

Pinterest Addiction #12

Happy Bank Holiday guys!

Lately, I'm saying yes to summer vibes and bold layouts. And I think it's reflected quite well on my Pinterest feed! Here's a little selection:
1. Can you believe this artwork is from 2011? Just discovered it and I love the choice of colours and the abstract shapes.
2. You know how addicted I am to patterns, and this one just scream summer to me!
3. So random but so right. This layout makes me want to be more adventurous in my designs.
4. How beautiful are these pink flamingos?! Great shot full of colours.
5. Cute little illustration by Abbey Withington.
6. I couldn't resist but include a nice illustration that reminds me of my upcoming holidays!!

Enjoy the rest of your day :)

Wandering - Llyn Mair

Hey guys! How you all doing? I'm so ready for our holiday in Rome! But for now, I thought it was about time to share with you the amazing day we had for Jason's birthday :)

Before heading to Portmeirion (more about it soon!), we decided to stop at Llyn Mair (Welsh for 'Mary's lake') on the way, a beautiful manmade lake that was created by a father for his daughter's 21st birthday. Needless to say that we enjoyed walking around it, soaking in the sunshine and watching the old steam trains passing by.

If you're ever thinking of heading to Portmeirion, make sure to stop by! You won't regret it :)

Lately on Instagram #12

Happy Thursday! Well, I've been quite busy lately and I'm going to be even busier soon! This weekend I will be with View Creative at the Prom Xtra event in Colwyn Bay, where we've organised some fun activities for kids to get creative! Don't be surprised if you find me asleep with drawings on my face by 5pm on Sunday!

So here's what I've been up to lately:
Got to discover even more historical ruins // Visited Llyn Mair for Jason's birthday... // ... Before arriving to the wonderful world of Portmeirion // Sunday walk in Menai Bridge // Pretty flowers to celebrate Spring // Almost died (haha) in Bodnant Garden // Stuffed my face with pancakes // Enjoyed the view on Conwy Suspension Bridge // and reminded myself of the beautiful weather we had a couple of weeks ago (because lately it's been HO-RRI-BLE)
