Little confession: I really struggled with this artwork, and I think that's why I'm a wee bit proud of myself for finishing it! I'm much more comfortable working on some typography with pens and brushes than on software. And even if I use my graphics tablet quite often it's always to work on some loose, flowing lettering in Photoshop. This time I decided to challenge myself and do something a lot more structured, which is definitely out of my comfort zone! When I see the result though, I think it was worth the hard work :)
By the way, it's been a year now that I've been creating monthly wallpapers and I thought it was time for a little change (exciting)! So from now on, I will still be posting monthly wallpapers bien sûr, but instead of illustrating the month's name, I will do some variations in my designs and most of the time work on patterns as I found that I really enjoy working on them too.
