Portfolio Update - Choulala Box

Hey guys! I'm jumping back on the good old blog to share with you my latest portfolio update! I hope you've all been well and you're enjoying the beginning of Summer like me :). Well, it's still not super warm and sunny but it's nice to have the window open whilst working and not freezing on my chair ;)

This week, Jason has been spending some time with friends and family in North Wales so I've been staying on my own at home. Although I've still been working and didn't take any days off, I decided to concentrate less on client work and to FINALLY get things done on the personal side of my business. SO, I'm pleased to report that my new website's design is done! I prepared the whole layout in Photoshop and created all the little graphical bits that will be used. It actually felt really good to get this done because, guys, I've been planning this since January! Ha. I only need Jason now to take the time to put it all together on Squarespace ;)

Another thing on my to-do list was to take photos of the deck of flashcards I designed for Choulala Box and share the whole project on my current website, which I did (well, it's kinda obvious)! In other news, my birthday is next month and I can't believe I'm going to be 30. 30 years old. It only sounds weird because I really don't feel that age. I think it's because when I was 20, I thought that at 30, people had everything figured out and understood life. Well, I still don't have everything figured out and I still don't understand life (lol). But other than that, I'm actually feeling good about it because even though our life is not perfect and there are ups and downs, I feel that I'm at a pretty good place right now, doing what I love and creating a nice life (at least as much as we can) with my man.

Everything has to go!

I'm back from my holiday and ready to rock the end of the year! With Christmas exactly 3 months away, I thought it would be a good time to run some massive sales in my Etsy shop so that you can all stock up on some cards and posters way in advance!

I mean, you get 50% off on all my latest collection, AND, my previous collection (or what is left of it) is back too for super cheap! Whoop Whoop! Etsy Sales!

Yep, you heard me right! From today until the 22nd of June, I'm celebrating Etsy's 13th birthday by running a discount on ALL my products in the shop!

You can purchase all the cards and posters with 15% off, which is pretty cool really, so don't wait too long as it only lasts 5 days! Head over to the shop and take your pick :)

I'm not too sure I'm going to print out any new stock so I guess once they're gone, they're gone! With Etsy changing their fees, I'm definitely considering not staying with them (they're going to charge fees on the shipping cost which I think is absolutely ridiculous as we NEVER make profit on shipping costs). So yeah, I'm thinking about it all lately and I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do, but I thought that a little discount can't hurt anyone and I would be so happy to see these cute cards and posters leave for a good home.

I of course still have some Christmas cards left so don't worry, I won't be gone anytime soon ;)

New Prints in my Etsy Shop!

Yep, they're finally here! I've been working on some new products for the shop lately and I'm SO pleased to show you the three new A4 prints that are now available on Etsy!

I wanted to create some characters that live in the same world as the ones from the greeting cards and illustrating some cute animals in playful scenes just comes naturally to me. I made sure to include three very different scenes so that everyone can find something they like!

These cute illustrations are perfect for children's bedrooms. They're fun and colourful, with a touch of craziness that (I hope!) make them feel unique and look consistent with the greeting cards that are also available in my shop.

New Christmas Cards!

Yep I know, we're just finishing Halloween's celebrations that I'm already annoying you with my new Christmas cards! In my defence, I've seen many other businesses starting to promote their Christmas products in September so to be honest, I don't feel too bad about sharing mine in November!

This year I've only designed three of them as I felt that one in French, one in English, and one without any text was definitely enough to choose from and also, I've realised that in the past two years, when offering too many to choose from, I wasn't selling enough and some cards were just left behind (poor ones!).

So feel free to buy one, two, three (15?!) of your favourite one and I'll be the happiest of designers this Christmas :)

Portfolio Update - I Heart Planners

I'm super excited to share these with you guys! I've been working with Laura from I Heart Planners on her new set of planners and printable goodies and I couldn't wait to show you the result :)

Laura wanted some new seasonal illustrations and letterings to include in her planners and we settled on some fun and colourful elements that would add a really nice feel to her handy planners and various organising sheets. We were really pleased with the result and not long after, she asked me to create some more for her products until December. For now though, here's a selection of the summery ones!

Brand New Etsy Collection!

So, do you remember when I told you I'd like to create a new collection of greeting cards as part of my goals earlier this year? Well, I did it! And I'm SO pleased about it.

It's not that I didn't like the previous cards anymore, but I designed them in 2015 and I felt it was time for a change. Plus, I wanted my new illustrations to reflect better the type of style I like to work on without doing something completely different from the previous cards... and Tadaaa, aren't they cute?!

You can now find 6 new cards, some of them with French, some of them with English and some of them without any message on the front. I figured it would be best to keep them simple so that they would appeal to more people ;)

If everything goes well, I'd like to add some prints at one point! A good friend of mine has always said to me that having them framed and ready to purchase like that would be a good idea. Now that I've moved back to France and I'm a lot more settled in my freelance work, I feel that this would be the right direction :)

FREE Printable 2017 Calendar

Happy 1st of December! Am I right to say that 2016 has been quite a tough year? Yeah, that's what I thought. Lately I've been trying to get rid of all the negativity around me and I've been concentrating on all the positivity I could find. Thanksgiving helped a lot, as even though I don't celebrate it, it was so good to scroll down my Instagram feed and witness only happiness and gratefulness.

SO, it brings me to this little freebie I put together just for you guys. Meow!

Yay! I'm so thrilled to let you know that Meow! is now selling three of my super cute cards! You should check them out as well as the amazing range of products for crazy cat people that she has.

When Milly reached out to me after finding my cards on Etsy, I was so happy to first; find somebody else that loves quirky cat goodies as much as I do, and secondly; be able to see my cards being sold in a great shop alongside some really well designed items. It's definitely a different feeling to see products you've designed yourself in a great shop.

More cuteness in my Etsy shop!

Yep, the collection is growing! I have three brand new cards available in my Etsy shop! Yaaay!

These are cuter than ever, colourful and perfect to go with a special gift. I wanted to introduce other animals than cats over the time, and I decided that an owl could make friends with the cats and bear already in the collection.

I really enjoyed working on these as I feel that I'm getting more confident with my style and my mind is literally bubbling with ideas. Because my goal is to have a wide range of cards in my shop, I decided to not concentrate so much on birthday cards and work on some other type of cards that people need daily. I mean, is there any better way to say thank you than two cute cats sharing a fish?! You get it, I want my new cards to be fun, unique and exactly what you need for a dear friend or loved one.

New Valentine's Day cards in the shop!

Happy Sunday everyone! With Valentine's Day arriving in just over a month, I couldn't miss the opportunity to work on a couple of cute cards that will help express those deep feelings you have for a special someone :)

Because I still want these cards to be available the rest of the year, I wanted to create some illustrations full of love but not so much that it becomes cheesy and makes you want to vomit. But I'm really pleased with them and I just adore the little shy bear! Hope you do too.

New Christmas cards available!

Well, it's official, Halloween is gone and Winter is here so it's now absolutely fine to think about Christmas! And thinking about it, there are now two new cards available on my Etsy shop!

I thought I would do a couple of designs without any cats on whilst keeping a bright and festive typographic design. Hope you like them! You can also find some packs of 5 if you're feeling particularly full of Christmas spirit.

Portfolio Update - Sarah & Mark's Wedding Stationery

Lately I've been working on really interesting projects and the most challenging and inspiring of them has to be Sarah & Mark's wedding stationery. I've worked on some wedding stationery before, but this project was definitely the biggest I've ever done and it's such a great achievement for me! I think the best part is when your clients tell you at the end of the process that they love what you've done and how much it means to them. I mean, that's what any designer would like to hear right?!

When Sarah and Mark approached me, they already had a theme in mind but weren't too sure how the invitations should look. After showing them the wedding pack I did for Gina & David, they were sold on the format and how it would all come together thanks to a ribbon and a small tag.

The part I enjoyed the most was working on the illustrations of flowers and various landmarks that were appearing on the invitations and on all the stationery needed for their big day. It's great to see how consistent every piece of design is and how the red hues from the flowers stand out nicely. The extra touch that makes it very special is the stamp we had made from the logo I created especially for the occasion. Fancy isn't it?

My close friend Alice was invited to the wedding with her partner so she took a few photos of my work on the day (If you're reading it, thank you again!). Have a look at them right here!

Overall, really pleased with it all and I thoroughly enjoyed working with Sarah and Mark. All the best for the future!
